Santa Claus is comming... (and possibly scary ol' Knecht Ruprecht)

I know its a bit past Saint Nicholas day, but my nostalgia for home (Germany- the Christmas markets, the villages, the Gluhwein!) is getting the best of me. If Knecht Ruprecht is new to anyone- he is the Saints nasty sidekick who carries around a bundle of switches for those who have misbehaved...watch out!

Deck the Halls

Today we get our tree! We've already stocked up on some spiced wine, and Stollen to help our nostalgia for home, and a bag of wonderful little decorations from The Paris Market (lots of mushrooms, pinecones and mercury glass) for the tree. So exciting!

A Sneak Holiday Peek

So if I've not been present lately, this is part of the reason why! I will be excited to show all of the pieces together (fingers crossed!) of the Christmas windows I am doing. For now here is a little taste of it- small cluster of carolers.

Fantastic Fall

So many reasons to love this time of year! What leaves there are here in Savannah are starting to change, and the morning bike ride to work is getting nippier. I'm using it as an excuse to make lots of soup and thyme tea. Also, a little splurge on some stunning rosehips. Happy fall to all!

Window Work

Some of the more recent windows at work (the Paris Market)! Breast cancer awareness, and a cozy little pumpkin house for fall! The pumpkin itself was made out of papermache and cardboard by the amazingly talented Shelby and the little critters were made by me.

Jessie and Terry

There is nothing more lovely than two wonderful people joining together in marriage. So happy for them!

New Leaf.

I am so happy to have been involved with Jen Anderson-Tarver's new website! She has her own midwifery business in Colorado. All things loving, maternal and green are some of my favorite to illustrate, so this was a wonderful match. Here is a sliver of it. More can be found at Jenandersontarver.com
All the best and blessings to her and her beautiful business!

Babiekins online Magazine!

I am so so excited and honored to have my dolls featured in the newest edition of Babiekins online magazine! If you haven't seen it, you should. Always lovely and inspiring, I couldn't be more pleased to be included. Deborah Beau from the best children's blog around- Kickcan and Conkers (seriously, go there right now!) included them in her "What's in" feature. :) I'm elated.

The dolls are of course available on my Etsy, or at the Paris Market!...speaking of which here is a kind blogpost on my work.(Anything featured in the post can be ordered over the phone if not found online).

Inside days

When we were young, getting to stay home was the BEST! A whole day of freedoms, and no one to say working on a craft wasn't really work. Some days are made for kicking around and making things. Get some hot tea, a few friends, some slippers and an audiobook and your good to go.
