Garden Invitation

I was beyond delighted to work on these lovely invitations for a client this summer. The wedding is days away and I wish them all the best! The theme was a brambled late summer European garden of sorts. From start the finish they were great to work with on their invitation suite and I'm so happy with the finished product. Enjoy this peek!

Summer Greenhouse

With the summer heat still going strong here in Savannah, I'm not able to spend as much time outside as I would like. I never understood peoples love for cactus and succulents and other easily indoor-managed potted plants until now. While we watch the poor plants outside withering in the sun Erik and I bought a little grouping of cacti a few months ago that keep us company on the mantle in our studio. If only I was as heat resilient as them.

Set the Table

It was so great to see the finished product of these placemats I collaborated with Ellothere to custom make for this lovely wedding! The florals were contributed by yours truly and they took care of the lettering and layout. I love so much how well they fit with all of the perfectly styled wedding details.

(a little something)

I got to spend time in New York last week, with such wonderful people. There is so much life in the big city. So much to see, never enough time to do everything you would like. I miss the energy but am happy to be back to a slightly quitter life, with a full home of good friends and family for the month of August and so many ideas for work twitching in my brain. So many things I'm dying to work on! Here's a sneak peek.

Loving Congratulations

This image was semi-commissioned and created for my incredibly lovely friend's beautiful baby girl. As rewarding as making a living as an illustrator is, nothing beats the joy of creating something loved for someone you care about. (In other news: Many thanks to Laura for kindly interviewing me on her lovely blog. Here!.)

The Olympics

As always the work my Meatloaf Mondays compatriots have created blows my mind! Love them so much. You can check out our blog here, and if you would want to like us on Facebook we'd be ever so grateful.

Martha Stewart Postcard

The image I previously posted was in collaboration with Martha Stewart's Craft Department- just released on their blog as a free downloadable postcard! Its a great honor to be featured with a few other amazing illustrators (who also have some beautiful postcards made available): Erin Jang of The Indigo Bunting, Tara Hogan of Ink + Wit, and Charlotte Trounce. Enjoy! xo

Its the lazy end-of-summer. Not so lazy in real life, but its nice in theory right?
